William E. Pritchard III is our founder and currently serves as our Executive Chairman. Mr. Pritchard also currently serves as Chairman of the Momentum Entities, which are midstream oil and gas companies, and a Director of Martin Sustainable Resources, L.L.C., one of our Sponsors. Mr. Pritchard has led six successful private equity exits since 2005. Prior to his career in private equity, Mr. Pritchard was a Managing Director, Oil and Gas Corporate Finance, with Jefferies & Company, Inc. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Pritchard served as Managing Partner of Merchant Resources #1, L.P., a GE Capital Oil and Gas limited partnership. Mr. Pritchard was previously a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Adams & Reese L.L.P. where he headed the firm’s energy practice team. Mr. Pritchard is a former Chairman of the Oil, Gas and Mineral law section of the Alabama Bar. Mr. Pritchard began his career as a petroleum geologist with Marathon Oil Company in 1980. Mr. Pritchard holds a B.A. in Geology from Washington and Lee University and a J.D., cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston.
Frank D. Tsuru serves as our Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Tsuru co-founded and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Momentum Entities, which are midstream oil and gas companies, a position he has held since 2004. In 2002, Mr. Tsuru founded Aka Energy, which was a midstream company focused on acquiring midstream assets off of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe (SUIT) Reservation. Prior to that, Mr. Tsuru ran SUIT’s midstream company, Red Cedar Gathering, from 1995 to 2002. In 1990, Mr. Tsuru founded Southwestern Production, an upstream company focused on coal bed methane development in the San Juan basin, which was sold to Conoco Phillips. He began his career as a drilling and production engineer for TXO Production Corp. in Denver, where he was part of the team that evaluated the company’s reserves and provided M&A support. Mr. Tsuru holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Kansas.
George C. Francisco IV serves as our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Francisco also currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Momentum Entities, which are midstream oil and gas companies, and as a director of two of the Momentum Entities, positions he has held since November 2012. From 2006 until 2012, Mr. Francisco served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of M3 Midstream LLC and certain related entities. Mr. Francisco spent 10 years as an investment banker focused on M&A, equity and debt financing with Merrill Lynch and Dillon Read. Mr. Francisco began his career with Texas Commerce Bank and holds a B.S. in Management from Tulane University and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas.
Frederick E. Bakun serves as our President. Mr. Bakun joined Indigo in March 2007 and has served in a variety of technical and management roles over the last 10 years. Mr. Bakun has over 20 years of experience in oil and gas asset management, field development and reservoir engineering. Prior to joining Indigo, Mr. Bakun was a Senior Staff Engineer for Peoples Energy developing North Louisiana and East Texas tight gas properties. From 1996 until 2005, Mr. Bakun worked for BP Alaska and BP North America in various engineering and commercial roles based in Alaska, Houston and London. Mr. Bakun holds a B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Rebecca L. Bayless serves as our Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Treasurer. Ms. Bayless has over 20 years of experience in oil and gas accounting and finance. Prior to joining Indigo in February 2007, Ms. Bayless was the Controller for Energy Resource Technology, a subsidiary of Helix Energy Solutions. From 1997 to 2000, Ms. Bayless helped to form Prize Energy Company as its Controller. Ms. Bayless began her career in oil and gas with Merit Energy Company. Ms. Bayless holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Arkansas State University and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas.
Susan E. Cohen serves as our Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. Ms. Cohen has over 25 years of accounting and financial reporting experience. Prior to joining Indigo in 2014, Ms. Cohen worked for Marathon Oil Corporation from July 2005 until September 2014 in a variety of accounting and investor relations roles, most recently serving as Assistant Controller. From 2000 until 2005, Ms. Cohen worked for BMC Software, Inc., and she began her career serving in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen LLP from 1989 until 2000. Ms. Cohen holds a B.B.A. and a Master of Professional Accounting from The University of Texas and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas.
Zachary J. Hart serves as our Senior Vice President—Business Development. Prior to joining Indigo in 2009, Mr. Hart served in various reservoir engineering, acquisition and divestiture and operational engineering roles for El Paso E&P (now EP Energy) in both Houston and Denver. Mr. Hart holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas and an M.B.A. from Rice University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Robert W. Hunt Jr. serves as our Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to joining Indigo in August 2016, from May 2010 until July 2016, Mr. Hunt worked for Cobalt International Energy, Inc., serving most recently as Associate General Counsel focusing primarily on capital markets and major transactions. Mr. Hunt began his career with Vinson & Elkins LLP, practicing corporate and securities law. Mr. Hunt holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Politics from Washington and Lee University and a J.D. from The University of Texas.
Emily L. Newport serves as our Senior Vice President—Finance and Investor Relations. Prior to joining Indigo in June 2017, Ms. Newport was a Senior Vice President in the energy investment banking group at Jefferies, where she had worked for 10 years focusing on M&A and capital raises for U.S. onshore upstream companies. Ms. Newport holds a B.A. in Economics from Rice University.
